Sadie Comes Out to Play

Sadie, the main gal in book #3, is finally getting to tell her tale.  It all started about 8:15 this morning when I typed 'Chapter One'.

Guess what?  At 9:15, I was still staring at a blank page.  As I have said before, this never happens to me.  And the problem?  Well, I like to have everything all formatted within the document before I begin - headers, spacing, margins, etc...AND the TITLE.  I stared at the page and realized that the title I had chosen many months ago for book #3 is no longer a fit for Sadie's story, so I pondered about a new title.

After an hour, I realized this was something I was going to have to get over, in order to move forward and actually start writing the book.  It was hard for me, but I just typed in 'Sadie's Story' as the title.  It's been her baby all along.  She started out slowly, giving me bits and pieces of how the tale should be told.  It didn't take long for her to start hounding me in my sleep to get started!  So, this morning I did.  Chapter One.

But it's nameless.  I am assuming that since book #1 is PLAIN PERFECT, and book #2 is PLAIN PURSUIT, that book #3 should be PLAIN-something beginning with a 'p'.  My original was PLAIN EXCHANGE.  Not sure I like that anymore, or that it will work.  I kinda like PLAIN PASSAGE, but not sure.  Ultimately, it will be up to the editor as to whether or not she accepts the title.

I know it's hard to choose a title without knowing the entire scope of the story...BUT, I'm open to suggestions!  ANY IDEAS???

she's been talking so much, lately, why not Plain Spoken? It seems quite appropriate, actually.. unless you think it's too trite?

    My two cents, anyhow.
