Sneak Peek at PLAIN PROMISE

PLAIN PERFECT has been receiving media coverage lately, and it has been picked up by several book clubs.  This seems to be generating a lot of emails and hits to my Web Site.  Thank you SO much for all the great comments!  It is a wonderful feeling to know that you are touching readers.

PLAIN PURSUIT is available for pre-order.  A brief synopsis and more info. is available on my Web site - http://www.bethwiseman.net/Books.php.  (New cover coming soon!)

This week, my editor needed catalog copy for book #3 in the series, PLAIN PROMISE, so I thought I'd share a brief synopsis of Sadie's story in PLAIN PROMISE:

Sadie Fisher tries to keep herself busy in her Old Order Amish community, even though the death of her husband four years earlier has left her alone and wondering if she will ever find true love again.  However, she’s been exchanging letters with an Amish man in Texas.  Milo Troyer plans to come to Lancaster Country for a visit soon, and Sadie is sure that he will be a perfect match for her.

But two years is a long time to be writing letters, and Sadie begins to wonder if Milo is ever going to make the trip.   As doubt and worry consume her thoughts, Sadie’s faith begins to slip in a way that is unfamiliar and unheard of in her community.  For the first time in her life, she questions God’s will for her.

When wealthy Englischer Kade Saunders rents her guest cottage for a month, Sadie’s world is turned upside down.  If Kade’s strange ways aren’t enough, he also has a five-year old autistic son who is dropped off in his father’s permanent care following unforeseen events.  Sadie gets to know young Tyler and sees God working through the boy to reach his father.  As her feelings for the child grow, so do her feelings for Kade—a man unsuitable for anything more than friendship.

Will Milo arrive in time to keep Sadie from straying from her beliefs and her community?    And will she marry a man who is ‘right for her’ when her heart belongs to another?

For those of you who read PLAIN PERFECT and love Grandpa Jonas as much as I do, he'll be around a lot in PLAIN PROMISE, stirring up all kinds of mischief.  He had a small role in book #2, PLAIN PURSUIT, but he demanded a larger role in this book.
