I'm excited to announce that my niece, Jessica (aka Rooty!), won the coloring book and cookbook!  Woo-Hoo!! 

This past weekend, I had lunch with 'the girls'.  So far, this has been the highlight of the season.  We ate lunch, exchanged gifts, and shopped all afternoon.  We live in four different cities, have husbands/boyfriends (one or the other...lol) and six kids between us.  Two have high-stress corporate jobs, one teaches autistic children, and then there's me!  So, getting us all together for lunch and a day of shopping is quite a feat!

That's Renee on the top left.  She edits behind me and sees the rawest of the manuscripts.  She's a human resource manager for one of the top CPA firms in Houston.  She and her family live in The Woodlands.  We have been best friends for 30 years.  

Standing next to Renee', is another Rene (different spelling).  She lives with her friend, Brooke, in Beaumont.  She's our single friend, and also edits for me.  Rene teaches autistic children.  Hint - book #3, PLAIN PROMISE, in the Daughters of the Promise series, has an autistic child in it.  Rene is 34, single, never been married, and no children.  Another hint - she wants to get married and have a family!  Know anyone??

Bottom left - our friend, Carol.  Carol lives with her family in Rosenburg.    She is an account executive for a large insurance company.  She's also my writer buddy!  And I'm SO glad to announce that my agent has agreed to review some of Carol's work for possible representation!  So - we are all keeping our fingers crossed on that!  Go Carol!!!

So, on Sunday, we all met in Katy, Texas and enjoyed catching up.  Here we are:
