Special Job, Special Person

PLAIN PROMISE, book #3 in the 'Daughters of the Promise' series will release on Sept. 10 of this year.  One of the characters in the book is five-year-old Tyler, and Tyler is autistic.  So, I had to do lots of research on autism, which is easy when you have a friend who works with autistic children.  This sweet picture was in the Beaumont Enterprise Newspaper on Sunday, Jan. 25.  My dear friend, Rene Simpson, is working with student, Jaden, on his speech in a one-on-one session at the Shorkey Rehabilitation Center.

While the character in my book does not share the same personality traits as Jayden, it was his darling face I saw while I was writing the book.  Rene carries a picture of Jayden in her purse.  She loves her job and all the children she works with.  On several occasions, she has come to visit me with bite marks, scratches, or chunks of hair missing.  She never complains.  How lucky we are to have people like her.

Hi I purchased a copy of "Plain Perfect" published by Thomas Nelson from Choice Books, 121 S Main St., Manheim, Pa 17545.
The book has a publishing error. Pages 89 thru 120 are missing.

      Hi Ray,

I'm so sorry that happened.  The publisher said it should be an isolated incident, and they are supposed to contact you and send you another book.  Please let me know if that doesn't happen.  Blessings, Beth

Hi, Beth. My husband and I stayed at the Beiler B&B in Paradise, PA this past weekend. I mentioned to Barbie that I love to read Beverly Lewis's books, and she told me about you! I am looking forward to reading Plain Perfect as soon as I can get to the store to purchase it. I wish you continued success as you write about the Amish.
