Plain Pursuit Releases Early!

Wow!  Plain Pursuit was not scheduled to release for a few weeks.  However, my editor said that it shipped from the warehouse yesterday and will start to hit bookstore shelves as early as next week!

I'll be giving away some free copies, so check back often!  I'm REALLY excited to share the first review of Plain Pursuit!

Kathy Fisher, The Romance Readers Connection, had this to say...

When Carley Marek takes a hiatus from her job, she goes to visit her friend Lillian in the Amish area of Pennsylvania.  Carley isn't there long when she inadvertently meets Lillian's charming, but shunned, brother-in-law, Dr. Noah Stoltzfus.  When Lillian's stepson is stricken with a life-threatening disease, Noah is forbidden to intervene.  He resolves to do whatever he can to save the boy's life.  Carley finds herself caught between her growing feelings for Noah and her loyalty to her friend.  To further complicate things, everyone around her is talking about God.  A God she doesn't know and isn't sure she want to.  When her visit is up, Carley must make her own life-altering decision -- to stay and pursue the only love she has ever known or continue the life she knew before.

Plain Pursuit's storyline will hit you in the heart almost from page one.  As you keep going deeper into the story, it ceases being a 'story' and begins to feel like you are an active participant in a group of people's lives -- learning the history of shunning in the Amish world and trying to justify what they believe in your world where anything would be done to save a child's life.

When you witness where these two worlds collide, there is frustration, awe, and tears.  Plain Pursuit will take you from the thrills of a new love as Noah and Carley explore each other's pasts together, to the bottom of despair as the life of a child hangs by a thread -- all the while building a strong respect for the Amish people and their ways.

Beth Wiseman is able to write in a way that the story becomes a part of you.  After reading Plain Pursuit, you will never be as you were before.  Bravo!!

What a nice review! Can't wait to read the book. Perhaps Christian Book will be able to ship sooner than expected, if the books are already coming out. Hope to see you at Calico Hens, God willing, on April 25!
