Plain Pursuit in Stock at Amazon! Sharing A Recipe to Celebrate!

Wow!  Things moved quickly!  Plain Pursuit is in stock at www.amazon.com.  And I just found out that I'll have my copies in my hot little hands Tuesday or Wednesday.

Want one?  Leave a comment, and I'll draw for two first edition signed copies on Friday, April 3rd!

I thought I'd share one of the recipes in Plain Pursuit.  I always test the recipes before the books go to print, and this one is really yummy!

Raisin Puffs

1 1/2 cup raisins
1 cup water

Boil the raisins in the water until the water is gone.

Then add:
1 cup butter
1 tsp. baking soda

In another pot, heat together:
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 cup white sugar

Add this to raisin mixture and stir.

In a large bowl, combine raisin mixture with 3 1/4 cup flour and 1/2 tsp. salt.  Mix well.

Flour hands.  Roll dough into 1-inch balls.  Roll the balls in cinnamon/sugar mixture.

Bake at 350 for 10 minutes.  Makes 3 dozen.

Cathy and Erin won ARCs (advanced reader copies) of book #1, Plain Perfect.  It doesn't make sense to just have them in a box at my house if someone might me able to enjoy them.  Cathy and Erin, if you've read Plain Perfect, please pass along to a friend who you think might enjoy it!

I can hardly wait until delivery. I am really itching to read book two. I am sure that it will be read immediately and I will be left waiting unpatiently for book three. Keep up the good work.

Congratulations BETH!!! I can't wait to get Plain Pursuit. Plain Perfect was a great read. (Hope you come to Schulenburg again so I can get an autographed copy of your next book.) Your Old Order Amish stories are such a great escape from this hectic world we live in. I look forward to reading Plain Pursuit each night once I get my hands on a copy. God Bless!!
