What Christian Resource Has Impacted Your Life the Most?
This is the question my publicist posed to me recently. I am supposed to write a couple of paragraphs about the Christian resource that has enriched or impacted my life and why. It has to be something released in the past year, not a "classic" from years past. It can be a book, music, or a film. This is for inclusion in an upcoming magazine article. I'd be curious to hear your answers, and then I'll tell you mine in a future post.
In other news, Plain Pursuit is BACK ORDERED! It's only been out a week, and book #2 in the Daughters of the Promise series, is going into its second print run. Very excited about that!
And, I've had a lot of emails from people telling me that they purchased book #1, Plain Perfect, at Wal Mart. But, we haven't been able to get it in my local Wal Mart until now! I live in a very small town, so this has been a major endeavor to get Plain Perfect to share the tiny bit of space on the shelf at my local Wal Mart. I went to go check it out, with my camera in tow...and I signed a copy while I was standing there. This is Lana Wied, sharing my excitement that Plain Perfect made it to my small town. Hopefully, Plain Pursuit will follow soon!
Also, the winners of the drawing for two signed, first edition copies of PLAIN PURSUIT are Edna and Carol!

That is great news that Plain Pursuit is going into its second printing! Congratulations! What a surprise to see Lana Wied's photo on your blog site--she is from our church at Nada, TX. Nice picture! On your question about a Christian resource that has made an impact, I have one to recommend, but it is from 2006, so technically doesn't fit the guidelines. It's "The Perfect Stranger" on DVD, about a modern day woman who is invited to have dinner with Jesus. I've watched it twice already and got something different out of it each time, but both times a tremendous feeling of "being touched by God."

It may have been a little more than a year, but the movie, "The Ultimate Gift" was very powerful to me. Our book club watched the movie, read the book and several members gave the movie as Christmas gifts. One lady will make it an annual "must see" for their family each year.
There is a wonderful message in this movie, a message from which we all can benefit. It's not about "gifts", as we so often know them. It's about giving of yourself to others, blessing them and the blessing you, in turn, will receive.
I'm eagerly awaiting my copy of Plain Pursuit from the publisher.
