Hubby Gets the First Peek!
First of all, I'm super excited that Plain Pursuit received 4 stars - out of a possible 4.5 stars - from Romantic Times Magazine.
And, Plain Perfect is being packaged as a 2-for-1 volume with Quaker Summer by award-winning author Lisa Samson. Visit www.amishhearts.com for more on that (to be posted on Monday).
Each time one of my books goes through a massive editorial overhaul, then line edits, Hubby Patrick is the first one to sit down with the finished manuscript. Here he is on our front porch having coffee this morning and reading A Choice to Forgive.
A Choice to Forgive is part of An Amish Christmas - a collection of novellas that will release in hardcover this August. There will be two other novellas in the collection written by Kathleen Fuller and Barbara Cameron. What makes these novellas so cool is that the characters cross over from story to story. This was no easy task. There were over 300 emails between the three of us to coordinate this effort.
Hubby Patrick loved the novella. But who are we kidding??? He HAS to love it...lol...
| Manuscript in pre-publication format! |
| Final Format! Releases in August 2009. Available for pre-order at www.amazon.com and www.christianbook.com. |

Congrats on the great reviews!
And the new book sounds fun - except I don't even want to THINK about the word "Christmas" right now! LOL

Beth, congratulations on the 4 stars from Romantic Times magazine and the teaming of Plain Perfect and Lisa Samson's Quaker Summer. It's great that your husband participates in your work by reading the final manuscripts. Nice photo of him. Now we just need pictures of your two sons! I've already got Plain Promise and An Amish Christmas, as well as Kathleen's A Man of His Word, on preorder from Amazon.com, but I hadn't realized that the characters in An Amish Christmas would cross over in the stories. What an interesting concept! I haven't gotten the two books I bought at the book signing in Columbus (Plain Perfect and Plain Pursuit) to one of the small local libraries yet, as I need to pray more and see where the Lord wants them. He knows who needs to be inspired! Have a good week!

LOVE the cover! Beautiful. As for Patrick, wasn't there something in your wedding vows about him promising to read all of your books?

Beth, I just finished your first "Pursuit" book and love it.
I feel so blessed that Barbie introduced me to your books by way of your bookmark.
I sure wish I could join you in Paradise this weekend but my Kentucky home and garden are keeping me busy.
I want to be added to your "give-away" so how do I do that?
Again, thanks for a great book. Joyce
