Prayer Request For Joe Clipston
Good Morning,
Many of you have heard me talk about Amy Clipston. Amy is the best-selling author of A Gift to Grace, a wonderful book. She is also my friend. We've never met in person, but we email almost daily and have talked on the phone. I feel like I've known her forever. We started on this amazing publishing journey together, sharing every little detail of the process as both of our books hit the shelves. She is very special to me.
When Plain Pursuit, book #2 in my Daughters of the Promise series, was in the early stages, Amy and her husband, Joe, helped me immensely with details related to a kidney transplant that I had incorporate into Plain Pursuit. They have first-hand knowledge about the procedure since Joe's brother gave him a kidney five years ago. Well, folks...that kidney has failed, and Joe desperately needs a new kidney. Amy was the first one to try to give him one of hers, but she wasn't a match.
Today, another donor is being tested as a match for Joe. I'm asking everyone to please say a special prayer for Joe Clipston, that this potential donor will be a match, or that a match will be found very soon. Please encourage others to pray for this special family, and post a comment here to let Amy know that they are in our thoughts and prayers. THE POWER OF PRAYER!

My heart goes out to you Amy. May God answer all the prayers being sent his way for Joe and your family. It is amazing the power of prayer, all you have to do is ask. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. Hopefully you will find a match soon and we will be praying for a speedy recovery. God bless.

I also have emailed Amy and I won the book (A Gift of Grace) from her and she signed it. I will remember them in my prayers. He is so young to be having so much trouble with his kidneys. Those two little boys need their dad.

Having a family member who needs a liver transplant, but was denied due to noncomplaintacy, I know what it is like to go thru the process and watched families who were approved go thru the process of waiting and hoping, my heart goes out to Amy and her family. You are in my prayers. Read in the paper this morning about several people in 4 states who received transplants. The people who donated for each person did not match the receipt for whom they were donating, but did match other receipts so they did a multi-state switch. Maybe this can also have for Joe

Sometime back when I learned through the blogs about Amy's husband's need for a kidney transplant, I put them on my daily prayer list. I also added Beth & Patrick, Kathleen & Jimmy, and Barbara, as we need to pray also for those who are doing the Lord's work through their writing! Will put in some extra prayers for Amy & Joe. They are a beautiful family, and I'll be praying for the Lord to bless and help them.

Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers. I know how much you mean to Amy by how much she talks about you. It was a pleasure to help and if any more is needed we will always be here. Congratulations on the release of your book. Thank you again for the support and getting the word out.
Maybe it will help somebody else out in the future or give people the faith if they may have to face it with someone they love. Thanks.

Father in Heaven, Provider and Worker of Miracles, please be present in your mighty power with Joe, and bring all resources to bear on finding him an immediate donor. Give your angels charge over him, to keep him in all his ways. I thank you in advance for working out your perfect plan in Joe and Amy's life.
I am in full sympathy with this request, as my son is preparing to have a kidney transplant in August.
