Anonymous Letter On the Bridge - Day 2
I guess since we found the letter on the bridge on Saturday, technically this is day 4. But for the purposes of this blog, we're going to call it Day 2!
Today when I went to check, the letter was still there, so I have added my own letter. (If you're just starting to follow this story, see yesterday's blog post.) My letter goes like this:
TO THE WRITER OR RECIPIENT OF THE ENCLOSED NOTE:
I am an author who lives in the area who has stumbled upon this note. I read it and put back, as stated in the letter. I am following whether or not someone retrieves this letter on my blog at http://blog.bethwiseman.net.
Please contact me at author@bethwiseman.net if you are the writer or recipient of this letter. I will respect confidentiality.
ALL OTHERS, PLEASE BE COURTEOUS AND PUT THIS LETTER AND THE OTHER NOTE BACK IN THE BAG.
As a romance writer, I was touched by this sweet letter, and I am incorporating the idea of a letter exchange like this into my next novel - Plain Paradise, which will release in March 2010.
Please visit my website for more information about me or my books.
And, then I attached a business card to the letter.
Here's a pic of part of the letter. I know this must seem like such a tease, but I promise...if no one claims the letter, I'll share it in its entirety. Just trying to be respectful.
So many questions! Does the bridge have some sort of special meaning for them both? Does he drive over it every day? I get the impression from the rest of the letter that the writer might not live here. She thanks him for showing her the countryside. Will she ever come back to see if he picked up the letter?
Stay tuned...I'll be following this.
