Cool Trip to the Bridge

Tonight Hubby and I took a ride to the bridge on this thing called a 'Gator' - kind of a hopped up golf cart.  It's about two miles to the bridge from our house, and it was a romantic little trip complete with a little smoochin' as the skies turned orange above us.  Longhorns roamed to our right, and we even stumbled upon an abandoned house to our left...okay, this part not so romantic - with buzzards in the window.

We packed the notes readers asked to be posted on the bridge, prayers and inspirations, and carefully attached each one.  I know some of you said you were mailing notes, and when received, I'll take them to this special place.  Again...there's just something about this bridge.  I haven't given up that the writer of the note or the recipient will contact me, but until then...the bridge seems to be inspiring something good in those who cross over.  Some of the notes that had previously been rolled up and secured with a ribbon are now unfolded and flattened so that people can read them.  And I didn't unfold them.

Here's a few pics to share:

Barbara, this was the note for prayers for Beverly and Jim, who has cancer.
Sherry, you said, "Attitude is everything, shoot for the moon.  Even if you miss, you'll be among the stars.

I love this, and your note is on the bridge.

Linda - May God's love be with each and everyone....your note is on the bridge.
And this is just me!  This is on the route to the bridge.  It looked very Texas, so I had Hubby take a pic.

We're incredibly blessed to live here and thank God every day.

Keep sending me your stories about what you think happened with the anonymous note, and keep sending your prayers and inspirations to put on the bridge.  (If you're just starting to follow this story, see past posts)

Have a wonderful weekend!

    Beth,
God bless you for putting the notes there! I have forwarded the link to Beverly, so she and Jim can see he (they) are being prayed for even in TX. I can't begin to tell you what this means to me and what it will mean to them.
    Love & Belief,
    Barbara
