Lilly the Deer
I saw my first deer on our property at our new house last week. I couldn't believe it when she (who I've now named Lilly) let me hand-feed and pet her. Then a couple of days later she came back with her baby. Too cute!
This weekend, my best friend, Renee' came for a visit to help us celebrate my oldest son's 25th birthday. I was hoping Lilly would show up because Renee' is the ultimate animal lover. Lilly didn't disappoint us.
I am loving the stories about the anonymous letter on the bridge. Great stuff! Keep them coming. I'll choose a winner on August 15th (see past posts to catch up on the bridge story).

Hello! We have alot of deer in our back yard. I would love it if they weren't scared, but none will let us get close at all. It's almost 4years now but maybe some day!!

is Lily tagged? what is the yellow thing in her ear? if she is tagged that is probably why she is so easy to handfeed, she was probably raised by humans or been kept close to humans..

Beth, I tried to leave a comment last week, but got cut off the Internet and gave up. This is a great photo of Lilly and Renee! That is so neat that Lilly also brought her fawn to meet you. It's also a great photo of your son Eric--belated 25th birthday wishes to him! Our four kids are already hitting the "big 40" one at a time since 2007!
