In the Beautiful Rocky Mountains!
I arrived safely in Denver and my friend, Greg, picked me up at the airport. Tim and I have known each other for over 30 years. We went to high school together, and him and his wife live in Bailey, about an hour southwest of Denver. They graciously offered to have me stay with them until the ACFW Conference starts on Thursday. Wow! What a time we've had catching up and reminiscing about our high school days...and HIS grandchildren. Don't know how all the years went by so fast. His wife, Sherry, is lovely, and today they are taking me to Monte Vista, about three hours away.
We are heading out early, so I wanted to post a few pictures before we got on the road. I assure you, these pictures do not do this place justice. Truly God's Country. I wish I had a video of our drive to the house, on this tiny little road running up the mountain side. I cannot even imagine traveling that road in the snow, or even the rain....Hmm...rain in the forecast today, OH MY!
Their dogs started barking around three o'clock this morning when Elk showed up outside the window. It was in the 40s here last night, but it's a warm 50-something this morning and should get into the upper 70s.
Now, check out that last picture!! That's what they see outside their bedroom window sometimes! Yikes!! I didn't take that picture and haven't seen any bears, but what a sight that would be to wake up to!!

Oh Beth I so envy you. I just love Colorado. It is so beautiful. I love the pics you sent. Makes me long for another trip out there. Have a good time and a safe trip home.

Loved seeing these pictures on your blog. This is my sister, Sherry and her husband Tim. I'm sure you had a great time there. It is absolutely beautiful at their house. I am so inspired by your books. Can't wait to read more.

Dear Beth,
I've always been fascinated by the Amish. I can't believe that they still live the way they do.
I read every Amish book I can get my hands on. I would be honored to have a signed copy of your new novel.
Your pictures are awesome. My son lives in Colorado it's hard for me to leave when it's time.
