A Friend in Australia!
I guess we all have a routine. My routine in the morning is - first and before anything else, I start a pot of coffee. While it brews, I inject my 12-year-old diabetic cat with an insulin shot, then feed my dogs, take a pill for a non-threatening fast heartbeat that I have, tidy up a bit, then pour that cup of coffee and head outside to my porch, toting my laptop. For the next one to two hours, I have some quiet time with God, check and answer emails, respond to comments on Facebook, update blogs, check reviews, and prepare for my day - whether that will be writing, revisions, etc...
On many mornings, when I'm on Facebook, a little chat window pops up. It's my friend, Sarah, from Australia. She always brings a smile to my face, sometimes saying, "Good Morning, Lovely Lady." I can feel Sarah's bubbly personality, love for her beautiful son, and her faith in God from across the world. Hearing from her is always a wonderful start to my day. I asked Sarah if I could feature her on the blog. She was gracious enough to send me some information and a picture of her and her son. I blushed when I read her kind comments, but I want to share this with you. So many people ask me, "Why do you write these books?" Sarah is a perfect example.
Thanks to Sarah for sharing this! I'm incredibly blessed to call her my friend as well! See you on Facebook, Sarah.
Hope everyone has a blessed week!

Hi, I'm Sarah Elizabeth. I'm a 23-year-old devoted Christian, a mummy to a gorgeous little boy named Benjamin, and am currently living in Victoria Australia. I absolutely love singing, horse riding, baking, taking walks and reading...which brings me to this incredible lady, Beth Wiseman! I started reading her novels because they are just as their titles suggest -- perfect! Beautifully written, inspired by God, giving hope and invoking a vivid imagination! They show love, honor, traditions, and most importantly, God. Whenever I can, I recommend Beth's books to be read. You can feel her stories through her words. Beth Wiseman is a wonderful lady, mentor, and truly gifted writer. I'm blessed to call her my friend! |

I love this blog!! Just completed your fabulous book, Plain Promise. I read it in a day!! Couldn't put it down- to my husband's dismay!! Keep those books coming- I will be back in Paradise next Sept.- have already booked our B and B and will plan to do more book shopping!!An Amish Christmas was the only book on my list that I couldn't find. David, from Gordonville Bookstore, did his best but couldn't find one! What a kind Amish gentleman.

Hi Beth!
First of all, I'm quite amazed at how our morning routines are alike! Well, except for the diabetic kitty...LOL! And Facebook/Blog friends really do make life sweeter.
Nice to meet you, Sarah! I don't think that your Benjamin could be any cuter!! So sweet!
Beth, I'm sure you don't remember, but way back in December, I won a copy of your book from Mocha with Linda's blog. I got it and almost immediately let one of my youth girls read it because she LOVES this genre. She loved this book so much, in fact, that I just recently got it back.
I picked Plain Perfect up last night around 7-ish and I have to tell you, Beth, I could. not. put. it. down.
Seriously! I finished it just before 3 a.m.! What wonderful writing! I lost track of how many times I cried throughout that book. I absolutely loved it!
I grew up in Pennsylvania where my roots are Mennonite (my paternal grandmother, who raised me, was raised Mennonite). So many of the terms and food, and even just the sweetness of the people made me long for home. Irma Rose reminded me of my Grama, and Jonas of my Pap. They are both gone now, but somehow reading this book from my sofa in Alabama took me back home, and I can't thank you enough for that.
A newly devoted fan,
Gayle Westover

Hi Beth. I was given the book Plain Perfect and just finished reading it. I have found myself in a position now that reading is all i am really able to do. I was a nurse for 30 years now, but in Oct. something went wrong with my arms and the doctors still have not found out what it is. Any way, i have not been able to work for almost 3 months now, i find myself having to apply for help, not able to pay the bills, not able to cook, clean, etc,, or hardly take care of myself because the pain in both elbows and arms is so extreme. I usually spend my days sitting and reading. Your book Plain Perfect was the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It made me cry. It made me forget for awhile about my own worries. I just enjoyed reading it. Now i need to know where i can pick up the rest of your books from on my limited income. I really would like to read them all. I can't do much else, but your Amish writing has intrigued me to keep on reading about their ways. Please, can you let me know where i can get the books at a cheaper cost? I would love to be able to just purchase books that i want like i use to do, but now must watch everything i purchase. Was a hard Christmas when i had to go to St. Vincent De'Pauls for food on Dec. 23,2009. My boys were coming home from college and i didn't want them to see my empty house, as they really don't know how bad the situation has gotten. I hope and pray for answers soon. I would also like it if you could send me a book mark, or something signed for this book i have read. That would make it a great New Year to Start out with. I love your blog. Your family looks so happy and content, and so do you. I struggle with my days for now,, i guess this is my cross to bear until the good Lord, opens another door for me. I am just not sure where he wants me now, or what he wants me to do. But, i will sit patiently and wait to get some answers and or treatment to help me cope with my condition. I wish you the best in all your writing. I love reading it, and look forward to see where i can find the rest of your books i can afford right now. You and your family are in my prayers. Sincerely, Sheila Kosewski, 18 Oak Street, Lanse, MI 49946....................Have a very Happy New Year
