New York Amish and Book Giveaway!

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

I wanted to share an interview that my assistant Janet ran across -- about Amish in New York.  There are several opportunities to win a copy of Karen Johnson-Weiner's book--New York Amish: Life in the Plain Communities of the Empire State.  The article states that this is the first book to explore Amish settlements in New York.  I don't know Karen, and I haven't read the book, but I'm hoping to.

Click on the link to read the article and sign up for an opportunity to win her book:

New York Amish:  Book Giveaway and Interview with Karen Johnson-Weiner

Reminder:  Don't forget about 'Recipe Fridays'.  I'll be posting a new Amish recipe here every Friday!

Hope you're all having a great week!

This is pretty exciting news for me as I live in western New York and am familiar with the Amish communities around here. They are wonderful people and different than those in the Ohio and Pennsylvania areas. Can't wait to read the book. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.
