Recipe Friday, October 28th - Butterscotch Brownies
Now that the weather is cooling off a little, it's time to do some baking. 
Butterscotch Brownies
1 c. brown sugar 1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/4 c. vegetable oil 2/3 c. flour
1 egg, unbeaten 1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. salt
Combine sugar and oil;mix well.. Add egg, nuts and vanilla. Fold in flour, baking powder and salt. Bake in an 8 X 8 X 2 inch pan at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.

I love all your books and am anxious for the next one. But I am very curious about the chicken with wafers that has been served in at least two books. What is it? All I can think of is chicken and noodles.
